Webcasts  >  Help  >    Downloads If you experience difficulties viewing an IBM Webcast presentation, please ensure you have the necessary software requirements outlined on the IBM Webcasts system requirements page. Download links to this software are provided below. Please note that the web browser and media player currently utilized by IBM Webcasts is non-IBM software, and as such, IBM does not guarantee the function or expected performance of this software.   Web browser downloads (Netscape and/or Internet Explorer) Streaming media player downloads (RealPlayer and/or Windows Media Player) Adobe PDF viewer download     Web browser downloads   There are minimum Web browser requirements for the successful viewing of a Webcast. If you are experiencing difficulties viewing or listening to a Webcast, make sure that you have the correct version and that the browser is installed and configured properly.   Internet Explorer: Version 4.x or higher required, version 5.x or higher recommended   Download Internet Explorer   Netscape Navigator: Version 4.x or higher required, Communicator 4.7 or higher recommended. Note: Netscape 6/7.x not fully supported.   Download Netscape Navigator (version 4.x)   Note: Installing an upgraded or new version of your browser If the audio/video or standalone player does not load or display properly, please ensure that you have installed the appropriate player after installing/upgrading your browser.   Top of page   Streaming media player downloads   There are minimum streaming media player requirements for the successful playing of a Webcast. If you ar experiencing difficulties viewing or listening to a Webcast, make sure that you have the correct version number and that the player is properly installed.   Windows Media Player (basic) requirements   Minimum Recommended Player version Media Player 6.4 Media Player 6.4 - 8.x Download Windows Media Player Note: Windows Media 9 Series does not currently support closed captioning with IBM webcast presentations. This issue will be resolved in the future, but if you require closed captioning service, please do not upgrade your Windows Media Player past version 8.x.
