WebSphere Real Time contains a stand-alone Java Standard Edition 5 Runtime Environment optimized to run on an open source real-time Linux operating system. It will only run on the customized Linux. Support for this Linux environment is available from IBM. Unlike WebSphere Application Server, it does not include a Java Enterprise Edition Application Server.
