The product experts of IBM Tivoli Training create and deliver in-depth technical training to help you build the Tivoli skills within your company. Your company can then use these skills to function more efficiently, overcome barriers quickly, meet your schedule and deliver results. Training is available for all Tivoli Solutions: Availability, Business Service Management, Provisioning, Orchestration, Security, and Storage and Optimization.

IBM Tivoli Training offers over 300 courses in a variety of formats including:

Instructor Led Training (classroom)
Classroom training is ideal for those who prefer to learn in an environment free from work interruptions. You may also find the instructors' experiences invaluable as you work through new material, bridging concepts and task.

Web Based Training (online)
Structured, self-paced courses interweave interactive product simulations, narrated product demonstrations and quizzes with traditional course content to deliver maximum retention.

Remote Labs (online)
Hands-on experience with Tivoli software in an online environment, enabling you to understand and master Tivoli technologies. Remote Labs can be accessed world wide using a web browser.

Web Seminars (online)
Interactive live online events that offer the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of Tivoli experts. Concise and focused training covering topics that have immediate impact - from best practices to in-depth discussions of Tivoli technologies.

Foundation Skills Training (online)
Designed to refresh/enhance the basic technology skills (non-Tivoli) required for optimum return on investment and ease of deployment/use of Tivoli software. This training is accelerated, focused and addresses only those skill objectives required in a Tivoli environment.

Differences Training (online)
"Delta" technical product training detailing what is new/changed in a Tivoli product release. Rapid-access format directly from the product experts including demonstrations, presentations and answers from the experts.

Role-based Skills Roadmaps

IBM Tivoli Training role-based skills roadmaps provide you with the path to acquiring the Tivoli skills you will need to be successful in your job. Base technology prerequisites are documented, enabling you to embark on a training path with solid grounding. Courses and other applicable learning options are also identified. Basing the roadmaps on skills for job roles such as operator, administrator and implementer identifies courses that are most relevant to your actual job requirements.

CERTIFICATION

Migration of Micromuse "Netcool" Certification Program into IBM Tivoli Professional Certification Program

With IBM's acquisition of Micromuse, the Netcool certification program will be migrated into the IBM Tivoli Professional Certification Program. A new "Netcool Consultant Accreditation - Deployment Certification" (final IBM name to be determined) will be created using the IBM Certification exam development process. The certification will cover three products and result in three separate multiple-choice exams:

Omnibus V7.1 (Tivoli exam #901)
Webtop V1.3.1 (Tivoli exam #902)
xSM (ISM V2.4/ SSM V3.2) (Tivoli exam #903)
