IBM® Tivoli® Storage Process Manager provides a set of customizable ITIL®-aligned storage management processes It manages and coordinates simple and complex change, configuration and incident management processes for an IT storage environment. - Delivers off-the-shelf capabilities to discover key storage configuration items in the IT infrastructure to give you a better understanding of your storage environment in relation to the rest of your IT infrastructure
- Provides specific storage-related automated workflows to help you implement provisioning, data cleanup and backup incident prioritization that work with existing Tivoli solutions
- Works in conjunction with IBM TotalStorage® Productivity Center, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager to perform operational tasks, monitor status of the tasks and verify completion of each of the tasks
- Enables compliance of storage management with polices, regulations and standards
- Creates and registers ITIL-based configuration items (CIs) for storage objects such as devices, switches and SANs, helps automate management policies, and provides a fully defined model of storage attributes and relationships in the IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database
