Overview

Tivoli® Provisioning Manager for OS Deployment provides an easy-to-use console for remote OS deployment and management

Includes flexible alternatives for creating and managing operating system cloned or scripted image installs

  • Helps significantly reduce the number of images required across your environment and the effort required to manage those images.
  • Enables you to discover key hardware information and identify the appropriate image to be deployed and automatically install that image
  • Includes the Universal Image and driver injection at installation, with which numerous hardware types can be supported with the same core image because the hardware unique drivers are handled separately
  • Creates a file-based image so each file only has to be captured and stored once, resulting in faster image capture, fewer images to manage and faster deployment and re-imaging of new systems than with alternative methods
  • Deploy Linux, Sun Solaris andMicrosoft Windows (including Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008) from a Linux, Sun Solaris, Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows (including Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008) platform
  • Operating systems supported: Linux, Macintosh, Sun Solaris, Windows
