This extension of the IBM Tivoli Monitoring family centrally monitors server virtualization, consolidation, resource performance and availability at the enterprise level.

• Provides an automated solution based on best practices for monitoring Citrix Access Suite, VMware ESX, Microsoft Virtual Server and more—critical infrastructure components that often offer applications to your customers
• Uses system resource baseline service levels to help you measure the performance of critical virtual server resources, detect persistent problem indications, identify root cause, correlate business events and understand the impact of problems on your business
• Offers expert advice that describes the likely cause of problems and suggests resolution actions
• Extends Tivoli Monitoring capability to include physical and virtualization layers, equipping you with the resources to determine appropriate virtual server workload levels and to resolve issues with virtual servers quickly
• Reduces the number of problems that require manual intervention so that your infrastructure remains resilient
• Integrates with the Tivoli environment, including Tivoli Enterprise Console, so that you can view the performance of your system from beginning to end, manage service delivery and prevent violations--all of which contribute to higher availability
