CMDB Configuration Management Database — A repository that holds the relationships between the infrastructure components within an IT Infrastructure. The CMDB is federated, enabling existing databases to be connected to the platform, automatically discovers resources and maintains relations among them and has open APIs and tools which simplify data correlation and management.
CCMDB IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database — Helps you to model, simulate, measure, customize and automate IT processes through the workflow and policy engines, and is the comprehensive process foundation for delivery of value-added solutions for release management, availability management and information lifecycle management. Enables true process integration and automation and can be used to validate compliance with existing policy and regulations. IBM Tivoli Process Managers — IBM Tivoli's new process offerings, IBM Tivoli Availability Management, IBM Tivoli Release Management and IBM Tivoli Lifecycle Management.
Process — A collection of related activities that take inputs, transforms them, and produces outputs. Implemented processes are enabled through people, tools and information.
Workflow — A representation of the flow of work across a set of activities. May span process, activity, or sub-process boundaries. Workflows introduce additional information not indicated a static process model.

RUP Rational Unified Process — A tool which documents application development processes. Also known as "Methodware".
IBM Tivoli Unified Process — An online tool to navigate the set of documentation for IT process best practices. It provides interactive tool mentors which show how Tivoli supports the implementation of IT processes, and how IBM technology can be used to automate tasks in a process compliant way.
CBM4IT Component Business Model for IT — This is the equivalent of CBM but for the business of IT. The PRM-IT processes are utilized by the various CBM4IT components.
ITLM IT Lifecycle Management — Marketecture that encompasses the activities defined by the CBM4IT.
