After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Analyze business processes as they relate to Information Technology (IT) Asset and Service Management;
- Describe and use the different IBM Maximo applications as they relate to various business processes specific to IT;
- Describe and discuss IBM Maximo IT asset and service management recommendations as they relate to:
- tools and job aids,best practices, philosophies, and methodologies in maintenance, acquisition, and service processes.

- IBM Maximo, configuration, and implementation overviews
- Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) within IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) overview
- Setting up organizations and sites
- Creating classifications and defining their attributes
- Setting up and applying general ledger configurations
- Creating locations
- Entering labor and registering users
- Create IT item masters and records and apply standard configurations (item assembly structures)
- Entering asset records
- Process service requests through the service management lifecycle (incident, problem, change, and release)
- Creating and processing POs for IT throughout the procurement lifecycle (requesting, purchasing or leasing, receiving, paying)
- Deployment and reconciliation of IT assets including disposal
- Automating the business process using Workflow
