Course description

In this course students will learn to monitor the performance and availability of transactions to ensure a positive customer experience and provide proactive management of potential problems. Students will learn how to configure and view IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager (ITCAM) for Response Time Tracking reports and evaluate problem events to determine the root cause of transaction problems.


Objectives

After completing this course, students will be able to accomplish the following: 

  • Describe ITCAM for RTT and its role in monitoring composite applications.
  • Monitor and investigate transaction policy violations to identify the root causes.
  • Identify potential problems by analyzing historical performance and availability reports.

Required skills/knowledge

  • Basic understanding of the programming structure of the applications to be monitored
