IBM Tivoli Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Files is a highly flexible, easy-to-use application that protects files as you work. The moment you save a file it can be seamlessly, invisibly protected, even without a backup server or network connection. Tivoli CDP for Files can run on your notebook computer and protect your files even when you are on the road or aboard an aircraft. It has a small but powerful engine that runs constantly and quietly, keeping your data safe from harm. If you delete a file by mistake or make inadverdant changes, you can easily restore the desired version. Backing up to another machine for safekeeping is simple and does not require a constant connection. Tivoli CDP for Files patiently waits until you are connected and then copies the files. If you run out of space, Tivoli CDP for Files alerts you and continues to try to save your files until space is freed up and the copy is successful.
The lessons in this tutorial include interactive simulations that will give you hands-on experience performing routine procedures.
