The IBM Maximo Mobile Applications Training Package consists of two parts.
- Use the Administration and Configuration training portion to help prepare participants to implement and configure IBM MXES Mobile Suite.
- Use the End User training portion to prepare participants on the two end-user applications: Maximo Mobile for Work Management and IBM Maximo Mobile for Inventory Management.
You can use the End User training portion as follows:
- To directly train end users, or In a train-the-trainer session for your clients.

The key goals of this course are to teach participants:
- IBM Maximo Mobile application administration and configuration
- The basics of inventory and work management functionality

The learning objectives for this course are as follows.
- Administration and Configuration portion:
- Create IBM Maximo Mobile security groups
- Manage errors
- Change server-side polling frequency
- Add/remove a field
- Change a field length
- Change field labels
- Configure a table window
- Add/remove columns
- Mark a field as required
- Mark a field for domain validation
- End User Inventory Management portion:
- Log in to Maximo Mobile for Inventory Management and navigate the screens
- Retrieve and query inventory records
- Use the application’s standard toolbars, field assistance, and basic functions
- Enter and save a valid inventory count
- Create a new inventory count
- Select and issue reserved items
- Create a new issue
- Process received items, item inspections, and rotating items (assets)
- Manage and process error messages
End User Work Management portion:
- Log in to Maximo Mobile for Work Management and navigate the screens
- Retrieve and query work and service request records
- Use the application’s standard toolbars, field assistance, and basic functions
- Enter and save a valid work and service request
- Select equipment or location from the Equipment/Location drilldown
- Record labor, materials, and tool usage to process work orders
- Manage and process error messages

The target audience for this course is personnel responsible for administering and configuring IBM Maximo Mobile Applications Training Package.

Because IBM Maximo Mobile Applications Training Package is an add-on product to core IBM Maximo, participants must understand basic core IBM Maximo concepts, especially those related to work management and inventory management. |
