IBM Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.1 is a powerful and flexible suite of IT Chargeback, Resource Accounting and Shared Services Billing Software. Usage and Accounting Manager provides usage-based charging and accounting for On-Demand environments and Service Oriented Architectures. The product provides enterprises with the software they need to take charge of their IT infrastructure costs. The Usage and Accounting Manager software measures, analyzes, reports and bills the utilization and costs of different computing resources within the target environment. This course teaches you the skills needed to implement and administer a set of Chargeback strategies such as, account code conversion, rate, client, and user table maintenance, metering record conversion, and report distribution and generation. Topics include but are not limited to: the data Collectors and the Common System Resource record, and the batch processing capabilities of the product, the Integrator, the Job Runner, miscellaneous and recurring transactions, and user maintenance, and exporting to Excel and Acrobat. Demonstrations and class exercises will allow the opportunity to practice the skills presented.
