Course description

This training course is designed for those new to using or managing IBM Tivoli AF/Operator. Students will learn what automation is and how to implement basic automation concepts in their shop. Topics include AF/Operator terminology, control and communication, and trap writing.


Objectives

After completing this course, students should be able to accomplish the following:

  • Describe automation facilities provided by IBM Tivoli AF/Operator.
  • Describe automation terminology.
  • Start, stop, and control AF from the MVS console.
  • Code TRAPs to implement event-based automation.
