Today, IBM Rational announced two new products that will enable test automation between Siebel 7.7 and IBM's leading test offerings. These new products will enable successful customer deployments and maximize the quality and performance of Siebel Systems' applications by integrating with Siebel's test automation APIs. These offerings will be designed to enable joint customers to build a library of quality and performance tests that are easy to maintain and run as Siebel applications are deployed or upgraded.
IBM Rational Functional Tester Extension for Siebel Test Automation
This extension will enable customers deploying Siebel 7.7 across their organization to use automated GUI functional and regression testing to verify that their Siebel applications will function as desired.
- Extends Rational Functional Tester to support the testing of Siebel UI controls for GUI automated testing
- Enables automated testing of Siebel 7.7 applications via an Eclipse-based IDE
- Support both VB.Net and Java for functional scripts
- Integrates with the new Siebel Test Automation (STA) framework
IBM Rational Performance Tester Extension for Siebel Test Automation
This extension will provide load testing capabilities that enable customers to ensure that their Siebel 7.7 applications deliver the expected performance and scalability required to meet the needs of their entire organization.
- Extends Rational Performance Tester V6.1 to support correlation of Siebel 7.7 data types for load and performance testing
- Supports Java for performance scripts within Eclipse-based shell
- Integrates with the new Siebel Test Automation (STA) framework
