Conference attire
Business casual - no suits or ties are necessary. You should dress so you are comfortable to sit in classes, mingle with peers and industry leaders, and other software professionals. Since hotel meeting room temperatures may vary, we suggest that you wear layered clothing so that you are comfortable.

Long known as a destination for family fun and the place to shake hands with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Orlando is also home to fabulous golf courses, great shopping, water parks, 5-star restaurants, spas and great site-seeing.

If you're planning to stay on at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort after the conference to enjoy any of the Walt Disney theme parks, you will be able to take advantage of complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World® Resort and the "Extra Magic Hour" benefit - Each day one of the four Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to an extra three hours after regular closing to enjoy select attractions, for those staying on a Disney property. (Valid Theme Park ticket and Resort ID required.) In addition, you can reserve advance tee times and five championship Walt Disney World® Resort golf courses and receive priority seating at selected Walt Disney World® Resort restaurants.
Weather in Orlando
Cool, casual clothing is ideal for Orlando where temperatures can reach into the mid 90s during the day, and go down to the 80s in the evening. All the inside venues are air-conditioned so it is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket. (Daily afternoon rain showers are also not uncommon this time of year, but showers are generally brief and light.)

Meals
For your convenience, continental breakfast and lunch will be served daily. In addition attendees will be invited to attend evening receptions each evening.
Badges
Attendees and participants are required to wear conference badges at all times during conference functions. Badges are not transferable. Badges will be distributed on-site during conference registration.
Conference materials
Conference proceedings will be available 2-weeks prior to the event via the web. Registered attendees will receive an email with the access information.
*No-smoking policy
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel conference center is a non-smoking environment.
*Cellular phones and pagers
In response to comments on past conference surveys and as a courtesy to other attendees and speakers presenting at the IBM Rational Software Development Conference, we do ask that you please turn off (or move to vibrate mode) all cellular phones and pagers. In addition, all cellular phones must be answered outside of the meeting rooms. Please keep your fellow attendees and speakers in mind.
