Application Workload Modeler for z/OS runs on OS/390 V2R10 or z/OS R1, or later. Supporting both SNA and TCP/IP, it can run in both Client/Server mode and Application Client mode.
In Client/Server mode, both the AWM client and the AWM server can be on z/OS or OS/390, or AWM for z/OS can work with AWM on other platforms to support clients or servers on Linux on zSeries or Linux.
In Application Client mode, the AWM client is on z/OS or OS/390 while the real application server can be on any platform accessible via the network.
When Application Workload Modeler for z/OS is ordered, the following is included in the product package:
SMP/E installable tape containing the Application Workload Modeler for z/OS code
