Application Workload Modeler for Linux on zSeries is included as part of the Application Workload Modeler for z/OS program package. It supports TCP/IP and can run in both Client/Server mode and Application Client mode.
In Client/Server mode, both the AWM client and the AWM server can be on Linux on zSeries (or S/390), or AWM for Linux on zSeries can work with AWM on other platforms to support clients or servers on OS/390, z/OS, or Linux.
In Application Client mode, the AWM client is on Linux on zSeries (or S/390) while the real application server can be on any platform accessible via the network.
