Lotus Foundations will provide file management, directory services, backup and recovery, email, office productivity applications and integrated business applications -- ideal for the business with limited or no in-house technical resources.
Collaboration services delivered on the Web
"Bluehouse" is the code name for a future software as a service offering from IBM designed for companies with five to 500 employees. "Bluehouse" extends the value of the Lotus Foundations family by providing extranet collaboration services for open social networking, instant messaging, file sharing, project management and web conferencing.
This new set of services will extend the Lotus Foundations family by allowing Foundations customers to securely collaborate beyond their organizational boundaries without the need for in-house technical expertise. |
