Lotus Sametime "Unified Telephony"
Lotus Sametime "Unified Telephony" software will help simplify the process of deploying unified communications in environments containing multiple, mixed telephone systems.
Current plans are that the Lotus Sametime "Unified Telephony" offering will include rich, aggregated presence to show whether a contact is able to take a phone call, provide alerts of incoming phone calls, allow users to establish preferences for how to route them, and provide the ability to make phone calls with an integrated softphone. Lotus Sametime "Unified Telephony" will also provide middleware to simplify the process of deploying Unified Communications in environments containing mixed telephony systems.
Lotus Sametime "Unified Telephony" software is currently planned to be available in 2008.
