TEAMING TO DELIVER UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS AND COLLABORATION SOLUTIONS

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 20, 2008 - Typex has worked closely with IBM to simplify delivery of complex Unified Communication and Collaboration solutions by IBM Business Partners. We are inviting IBM partners to register and become part of our worldwide community, Team UC. John Taylor of Typex and Alan Honor of IBM will be announcing this exciting opportunity at the Lotusphere Business Development Day, in the following joint session:

Title: Real World Unified Communication and Collaboration Value for Your SMB Customers on a Single System
Date: 20th January 2008 at 1pm
Location: Disney Yacht & Beach Hotel, Saybrook Room

The output of this work is a set of 'cookbooks' of standard, proven 'recipes' for each of the vital unified communications and collaboration solution ingredients. An extensive menu of 'cookbooks' will cover system architecture, infrastructure, collaboration including IBM Lotus Sametime, networking, application integration, virtualization and more; all available to download as easy to follow, 'how to' guides.

The benefits of this intellectual property to IBM Business Partners include: reduced investment in skills; new opportunities to sell and deliver unified communications and collaboration services; increased knowledge of the total unified communications and collaboration solution providing insight into potential competition and assisting with identification of teaming opportunities; and reduced risk via pre-designed and configured solutions.

The benefits to customers include: faster solution implementation time; documented, tried and tested solutions from industry leaders: IBM, 3Com and soon, Nortel, and the comfort of knowing the solution will work 'out of the box'.

All of the intellectual property has been written using IBM Lotus Symphony and is stored and available for download in a secure IBM Lotus Quickr place. Lotus Quickr places are also used for managing each unified communications and collaboration project.
