IIUI updates Records Manager Express and enhances functionality
Meets updated regulations and enhances Lotus Quickr
LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 21, 2008 -- Innovative Ideas Unlimited, Inc. today announced the availability of IIUI Records Manager Express 8.1 which includes connectivity to the software tools people use in everyday business. Records Manager Express is a DoD 5015.2 certified application for records management and runs natively on the IBM Lotus Domino platform. With this release, Innovative Ideas Unlimited, Inc. continues to enhance the usability and capability of corporate record-keeping and significantly enhance compliance for customers.

Release 8.1 of the award-winning application includes connectors for use with several IBM Lotus software products. The IBM Lotus Quickr connector seamlessly integrates in with Lotus Quickr and requires no additional work by the end-user to create or declare records. The IBM Lotus Domino Document Manager connector provides the ability to declare records using IIUI's Auto-File technology or explicit declaration. The IBM Lotus Notes Messaging connector integrates directly with the e-mail system and allows for any combination of explicit and automatic declarations of messages. Records Manager Express also integrates with IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Symphony. It runs on all operating systems compatible with IBM Lotus Domino. Records Manager Express runs with the latest versions of Lotus software along with legacy versions. This latest release includes a user interface update that keeps it consistent with IBM's user interfaces.
This release is successfully tackles the challenge of declaring collaborative content as business records without supplementary user input. Using business rules specified by the records manager, the content is declared and filed when appropriate without the overhead of having users explicitly declare a document's state. Working closely with IBM, IIUI has tightly integrated Records Manager Express with the Lotus Software products and passed the rigorous DoD 5015.2 certification testing in April, 2007 using IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 8.
