DAVALEN PROVIDES THE FUTURE FOR IBM LOTUS NOTES AND DOMINO TRAINING

Davalen's Virtual Classroom Offers New Possibilities to those Seeking Training

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 21, 2008 - Technology is constantly evolving and Davalen, LLC, a Premier level member of IBM PartnerWorld, is working hard to provide solutions that link the needs and wants of today's Lotus clients with the latest learning technology.

Davalen now offers IBM Lotus Notes and Domino training as distance learning alternatives eliminating travel costs usually associated with technology courses. Travel costs and lost production time deter many companies from investing in key training as well as keep enthusiasts from participating in the training they need.

With Davalen, each student has the ability to connect to the course lecture through a conference call and an IBM Lotus Sametime Web conference through a provided web link in order to view the presentation. This web link directs them to a virtual machine in Davalen's training facility which is used as their individual lab machine. Students receive certified IBM courseware and classes are taught by an IBM certified Instructor. Instructors are online and on the phone to provide live lecture and lab support as well as review your work directly on your lab machine. The same labs, demonstrations, and explanations take place on the student's monitor while they follow along with the conversation and IBM courseware.

Some previous versions of "e-learning" let students down by not being interactive or failing to keep the attention of its students, decreasing the amount of learning achieved. Davalen's Virtual Classroom has had amazing feedback from its students as they continue to run almost every course in the training center with virtual students in attendance.

One such student is Karen Goodman. Goodman took her Lotus Notes and Domino classes virtually from England claiming, "I began investigating training courses in the UK but was not able to fine one easily." Frustrated and not sure where to turn for quality and reliable training, Goodman stumbled across Davalen's website in the United States.

"Davalen worked with me to test my connections even before I signed up. My instructor was extremely flexible in working out the scheduling and time difference with me and I was able to work from my home in London. Everything worked well and smoothly and the technology was amazing," explained Goodman.

Another student who enjoyed the perks of the Virtual Classroom without the hassle of travel was Kathy Brown, an employee of Prime, Buchholz & Associates, Inc. Like many others, Brown was hesitant to try the Virtual Classroom. To her surprise however, "Taking the Virtual Class was just like being there. I have taken Davalen courses in person and this was exactly the same without the commute." Brown further explained by saying, "It was wonderful to be able to take the class without the inconvenience of travel. Set up and instructions were clear and concise, so there were no problems connecting. It really was just like being there. I am hoping to utilize the Virtual Classroom for my next class with Davalen."

What's truly amazing about this rising technology is the fact that so many companies have the opportunity to train their employees wherever they want without losing resources. The student continues to benefit by learning in an interactive and live course reducing the headache of expense reports and approvals to allow them to enjoy and maximize their learning experience, a bonus for student and employer.

"The Virtual Classroom is not only cost-effective but convenient and interactive," explains Davalen's Chief Technology Officer, David Wilkerson, "Davalen works hard at offering more possibilities to our clients creating an atmosphere conducive to learning."

Offering new possibilities in an innovative format, Davalen is proud to extend their Virtual Classroom solutions to include IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 8 as well as IBM WebSphere Portal.
