Germany based software house Cedros introduces a groundbreaking solution for effective corporate communication at Lotusphere 2008: c.-ModeratedChat 2.0

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, Fla. January 21, 2008 - Cedros today introduces c.-ModeratedChat 2.0, a new way of corporate communication. This new platform combines the advantages of many other forms of communication including meetings, telephone conferences, webcasts and chats in a single solution using latest real-time communication technology by IBM, IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 and IBM Lotus Domino 7.02 +.

c.-ModeratedChat 2.0 improves corporate communication by combining structured real-time communication with easy handling. A "Moderator" mediates between "Participants" (the ones that ask questions) and "Speakers" (the ones that answer) of the discussion forum.

The solution handles moderated online meetings from several dozens up to over 1,000 participants in different locations in a very cost effective way.

Unscheduled staff meetings, ad hoc sales briefings and exchange of information between different subsidiaries or divisions show the limits of conventional communication as these methods are not suitable for the spontaneous exchange of information between larger groups of people. All-staff meetings at one single location - if at all possible - require additional planning time and travel costs for the attendees. Telephone conferences usually limit the number of participants. Video conference facilities are not always available in all offices.

Virtual, computer-based conferences have not been able to meet the requirements of businesses today as they are just not yet powerful enough.

"Normal" chat allows real-time communication between many participants but as it cannot be moderated it usually lacks manageable structures of communication among a larger group of participants. Web conferences are hard to handle and require considerable system resources.

c.-ModeratedChat 2.0 enables businesses to fill these gaps. The combination of structured real-time communication and moderated chat allows companies to communicate with large groups of people.
