WBI Adapters WebSphere® Business Integration (WBI) Adapters use an asynchronous standalone runtime architecture (the WBI Framework) with WebSphere MQ or JMS as the underlying transport protocol. Originally designed for WebSphere InterChange Server (WICS), they remain available for WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere ESB, and WebSphere Process Server users transitioning from WICS or WebSphere Business Integration Server.
WebSphere Adapters V6.1 no longer ships the WBI components. WebSphere Adapters V6.0.2 is available for the users requiring the WBI components for the following adapters:

The following adapters remain available as standalone adapters and may require additional entitlement to the WBI Adapter Framework.
Adapter for Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) Facilitates communication and data exchange between a WebSphere Business Integration infrastructure and an EJB, deployed on an Enterprise Application Server.
Ariba Buyer Enables bi-directional, real-time integration between the Ariba Buyer application and other enterprise applications.
COM Enables the communication with an application through COM
CORBA Enables the communication with an application through CORBA
Data Handler for Complex Data Enables the bidirectional conversion of a vast number of text and binary formats to and from WebSphere Business Integration business objects.
