Unzip the image into the directory of your choice. If you unzip to C:\, the product will be in C:\idebug. Linux for zSeries Install: To enable the Remote System Explorer (RSE) option, you must do the following: 1) FTP the C:\idebug\host\dstore.linux.tar tarball (tar file) as binary to your Linux host. 2) At a command prompt, type tar -xf dstore.linux.tar to untar the dstore.linux.tar tarball on the Linux host. A directory called dstore is created containing the files that are required to start the RSE host server. Note: Place one copy of the dstore directory on Linux in a public location that all users can access through the PATH environment variable. Enable the read and execute permissions for all files contained in this directory (and the directory itself) to allow all users to access these files. 3) Configure the server.linux file (located in the dstore directory) and update the PATH variable to point to the location of the Java 1.4 runtime directory. 3.0 CUSTOMIZING IBM DEBUGGER FOR z/TPF _______________________________________ See the product documentation for more information about customization. 4.0 RUNNING IBM DEBUGGER FOR z/TPF _______________________________________ To run the debugger, execute C:\idebug\idebug.exe For more information about how to register a debug session with a z/TPF system, select TPF Debugger-->Registering a program for debugging in the online documentation. 5.0 NOTICES _________________ IBM may not offer the products, services, or features discussed in this information in other countries.
