SUBJECT: APAR NUMBER: PQ59048

REFERENCE: AREA: TPFDF ZUDFM ROUTINES
SEGMENT: UFDA13 - RELEASE: TPFDF (Assembler)

There are no pre-requisites for this APAR.

ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
Provide a user exit and sample source code to allow ZUDFM TRACE
commands to work with IBM Visual Age for TPF Distributed
Debugger.

COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
To allow for an interface between TPFDF and the Visual Age For
TPF Distributed Debugger, sample code is being provided and user
exit UFDA is being updated to demonstrate how this code can be
accessed. TPFDF customers can issue ZUDFM TRACE commands while
tracing programs written in C, C++, or assembly language when
the sample code is properly installed on a TPF system.

SOLUTION
________
User exit UFDA has been updated to contain comments that demon-
strate an ENTRC call to sample DLM UFDS as well as how to be
compatible with calling segment UFB9. Source code for sample C
segment UFDS and sample build script UFDSBS will be located in
the BDF.PUT17.SAMPLE data set, which will be created for TPFDF
PUT 17. This will allow for ZUDFM OAS/TRA commands to be used
in conjunction with the Visual Age For TPF Distributed Debugger.
Note that TPF APAR PJ28395 is a corequisite APAR and is required
for sample DLM UFDS to function properly.
