ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
TPFDF support for 32-Way Loosely Coupled.
COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
Several TPFDF segments require updates to support the changes
made for TPF 32-way loosely coupled support. The use of bit
masks was replaced with ordinal numbers to represent as many as
32 processors in a complex for TPFDF recoup code. Furthermore,
for utilities that use partitions to represent processors (such
as TPFDF CRUISE and data collection), the number of partitions
needs to be adjusted when these utilities are run on TPF
systems.
SOLUTION
________
Several TPFDF recoup segments were adjusted to pass an ordinal
number to SIPCC. For TPF systems only, the number of partitions
used by TPFDF data collection was changed to be equal to the
number of processors generated in the complex, plus one for
totals. For TPFDF CRUISE, the number of partitions was changed
to be equal to the number of processors generated in the
complex. None of these changes impact ALCS systems.

Migration Considerations
========================
For TPF customers, TPF APAR PJ27785 is a co-requisite APAR
and must be applied concurrently with this APAR.
For ALCS customers, this APAR should be applied to stay
current with maintenance.
TPF users must do the following when installing this APAR:
1. Load this APAR to all processors defined in the complex.
2. Enter ZUDFM OAI/DBTAB/INIT from each processor.
3. Enter ZUDFM OAINIT ID/FDE5 twice in succession.
As a result of this procedure, all historical data collection
information will be lost.
Furthermore, when the number of processors defined in the complex
changes at any time in the future, the following must be done:
1. Reassemble UF1A and UF1F, and load them to the system.
2. Enter ZUDFM OAI/DBTAB/INIT from each processor.
3. Enter ZUDFM OAINIT ID/FDE5 twice in succession.
Again, as a result of this procedure, all historical data collection
information will be lost.
