ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM

Code  introduced by PN73989 (B+Tree indexing), may cause a CTL-4
system error to occur during the sort of a B+Tree  file  if  the
output file is empty.
 
COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
If  during  sort  processing  of  a  B+Tree file an error occurs
(SW00RTN is non zero), the output subfile  is  closed.    During
subsequent  sort  processing TPFDF attempts to pack the file and
rebuild the B+Tree index.  However, because the file is  already
closed a CTL-4 occurs.
 
SOLUTION
________
Segment  UWAU  has  been updated to check for an non-zero return
code (SW00RTN) of a B+Tree file during sort processing.    If  a
non-zero return code is detected, indicating the file is closed,
the pack and rebuild of the B+Tree file is bypassed.
