ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM

If  a  user  attempts to use an 8-byte file address on the ZRECP
STA VAL command with FARF6 APAR PQ74483 applied, a CTL-4  system
error will result.

COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
 
The  first  50 bytes of the input message for ZRECP STA VAL com-
mands are copied from the message block to another block in  TPF
segments UBRP and BRCP.  If an 8-byte file address is specified,
the  last part of the address and the "end of message" character
are lost, which leads to a CTL-4 system  error  in  the  parsing
routine in TPFDF segment BRCV.
 
In addition, the ZRECP STA VAL display only displays 4-byte file
addresses.  This display needs to be updated to show 8-byte file
addresses.
 

SOLUTION
________
With  TPF  APAR  PJ30183,  TPF  segments UBRP and BRCP have been
updated to copy 80 bytes (instead of  50  bytes)  of  the  input
message.    The  display  routine in TPFDF segment BRCV has been
updated with this APAR to expand the file address field  from  4
bytes  to  8  bytes  and to display the information in 2 columns
instead of 3 if a file address is given as input.
