COMMENTS:
The TCP/IP architecture defines an extension to the original TCP
retransmit process. This extension is called Fast Retransmit support
and is defined in RFC 2001 "TCP Slow Start, Congestion Avoidance, Fast
Retransmit, and Fast Recovery Algorithms." The support enhances the
retransmit process to detect lost packets in the network faster.
SOLUTION:
APAR PJ28344 is an enhancement that enables Fast Retransmit support for
TPF to detect lost packets in the network faster.
