Tools that are available
from the TPF Tools Web site are either "as is" or need a license.
The licensed tools are for TPF customers only, and "as is" tools
are available to anyone who wants them.
Tools "As Is"
The "as is" tools are provided
with no support intended or implied. If errors are found in the
code, we make no commitment about correcting them, although we may.
Naturally, IBM retains all the rights to the tools as stated in the
"as is" license that appears each time you download a
tool.
Licensed Tools
Some tools that are available
from the TPF Tools Web site require your company to have a TPF
product license. Accordingly, these tools are intended for
existing TPF customers. Anyone who works for a TPF customer can
download these tools, which we support by correcting errors and
answering questions. They are all considered Beta tools because we
may never release them with the TPF product.
There are two kinds
of licensed tools:
- General License
tools: These refer to the license that comes with the TPF
product. Most licensed tools for download are this
kind.

- Special License
tools: These refer to a special license that contains
provisions over and above the usual TPF product license. The
special license is needed because of requirements to which we must
comply. Before you can download any of these tools, the special
provisions associated with the tool must be completed. These
provisions are documented on the tool page.
