TPF APAR Tool

16 Aug  2007    An incorrect host was being referenced that caused downloads
                from that server not to work correctly.


 7 Aug  2007    Several problems have been corrected:
                - Resolution of some problems required that the continuing
                  state variable be unimplemented.  This means that 
                  it is no longer possible to save tool states for use
                  in another session.  User selections must be recreated
                  for each session.
                - The "All Functional Areas" option is now selected by default.
                - Sorting displayed APAR lists containing "non code"
                  closing codes (closing codes other than SPE, PRI, PRS,
                  and PRE) has been disabled.
                - Other, minor bugs have been fixed; such as, disappearing 
                  PUT number selections and inability to select fully some
                  APAR date ranges.


12 Jul  2007    Some users report problems using the APAR tool with 
                the Firefox browser.  These and some other maintenance 
                issues are being addressed over the next few weeks.


This page summarizes changes that have gone into the TPF APAR tool.

28 Mar  2006    Added options to download tar files from a "new" server 
                or the "old" server.  The "old" server will continue
                to be supported for APAR Tool downloads until the middle 
                of March 2006. 
                Corrected an error in the Date Range logic where not
                all selected APARs were being displayed.

17 Jan  2006    Added "non code" APARs (that is, APARs with closing 
                codes that are not associated with code fixes). 
                Usability improvements to the APAR Range option.
                Better integration of options in culling the APARs 
                displayed.

14 Dec  2005    Corrected an error in Date Range and APAR Ranges.
                Relaxed some constraints on data needed to search for
                date and APAR ranges.

14 June 2005    Added functional area description and functional area
                code to apardat1.csv file.

08 June 2005    Changed the functional area information displayed
                in the apardata1.csv file from 3-digit functional
                area codes to text functional area descriptions.

27 May  2005    Updated the page HTML to OneX design.

 5 May  2005    Changed format of apardata1 CSV file by compressing
                blanks.

20 Apr  2005    Changed the format of the pages displaying
                correcting and corrected APARs to make the APAR
                being addressed more obvious.

 5 Jan  2005    Added an option to save displayed APARs in text,
                HTML, or CSV (comma separated vector) formats.
                Corrected a problem with incorrect display of
                closing codes. Corrected a problem with full
                display of available APARs.

10 Aug  2004    Corrected links generated for pre-PUT13 APARs.

15 July 2004    Removed the DOC closing code as a display option, 
                because APEDIT writeups for DOC APARs are not put
                on the web. 
                
 1 June 2004    An error in the Corrected APARs display was corrected.
                Due to an incorrect function call the Corrected APARs
                list was also displaying the correcting APARs.
