• An IBM CICS Services specialist works with your technical staff to produce a CICSPlex SM
• Installation Plan covering the outline project schedule, resources, system and other environmental issues for the CICSPlex SM installation.

Basic Skills Instruction
The IBM CICS Services specialist will provide basic skills instruction for up to two of your people on the CICSPlex SM installation, to help them support and administer your CICSPlex SM environment.

Customisable Optional Services
You can also have the IBM CICS Services specialist perform the following optional CICSPlex SM services modules:

• CICS Transaction Affinity Analysis.
  We will install the CICS Affinities Utility and the CICS Interdependencies Utility, analyse the reports from the utilities and create an action plan to enable a selected application for workload balancing and data sharing in a CICSPlex.

• CICSPlex Region configuration design and implementation of improved CICS and CMAS JCL structure
  We will design the CICSPlex configuration taking into account any workload separation requirements and capacity requirements and develop suitable naming conventions and an efficient JCL structure.

• Implement Dynamic Transaction Routing (DTR) and Dynamic Program Link Routing (DPLR)
  This will be done within the previously installed CICSPlex using the dynamic routing program provided with CICSPlex SM.

• Implement the CICSPlex SM Web User Interface
  We will install and demonstrate the use of the CICS Web User Interface including the creation of customised views.

• Demonstrate use of CICSPlex SM API
  We will install sample program which exploit the CICSPlex SM API and provide skills instruction to your staff on the use of the API.

• Exploit the CICSPlex SM Single Point of Control
  We will design and create CICSPlex SM definitions to implement a Single Point of Control.

• Exploit CICSPlex SM Business Application Services
  We will plan and migrate application resource definitions from being managed by CICS to being managed by CICSPlex SM

• Exploit CICSPlex SM Real Time Analysis
  We will design and create CICSPlex SM definitions which implement Real Time Analysis in conjunction with a systems management monitoring package

• Implement VSAM Record Level Sharing
  We will plan and implement VSAM Record Level sharing for a selected application.

Participation in project
You designate a representative as the focal point for this project. Your representative:

• Helps resolve project issues and escalates issues within your organization (as necessary).
• Helps resolves any deviations from the project plans.
• Obtains and provides information, data and approvals within three working days of our request, unless an extended response time is agreed upon.
• Provide the IBM CICS Services specialist access to your CICS environment.

• Your new CICSPlex SM environment is up and running quickly.
• You get the benefit of IBM's leading-edge knowledge.
• Your staff can work with our services specialists to gain knowledge and experience with CICSPlex SM.
• You can concentrate on core business activities while your CICSPlex SM planning and installation is carried out by our services specialist

Prerequisites
For IBM to perform this service, you must have CICS Transaction Server for OS/390 (which includes CICSPlex SM), and have your CICS technical people available to work with the IBM CICS Services specialist.
