 | The purpose of retrofitting G11N applications is to attract more users by providing them with a familiar experience when visiting Web applications. In the meantime, the Web application itself should be maintainable and the retrofit should be cost effective.
G11N retrofit is different from developing a globalized application. The ‘80-20’ rule is also applicable. Globalizing the view layer may satisfy 80% of end users’ multi-language and multi-culture expectations, but the remaining 15% might take 80% of the G11N effort, and the final 5% will probably never be achieved.
