$Lng_UNID
The synchronization ID, equivalent to the UNID in the replication world. Critical to the synchronization process, this ID is what allows each document to know about the existence of its companion documents across language versions of the application — i.e., the ";other language" versions of itself. Synchronized documents share the same $Lng_UNID. $Language Specifies the language that should be used for this document. For example, en-US.
$Lng_SynchType
Defines the type of document being dealt with:
- " 0" 0 = Local
- "; 1" 1 = Global
- "; 2" 2 = Translatable
$Lng_Original.
Determines whether or not this is the originally created version of the document
(and not just a translation):
- "; 0" 0 = Not the original
- "; 1" 1 = The original
$Lng_State
This determines the translation state of the document:
- "; 0" 0 = Untranslated
- "; 1" 1 = Translated
- "; 2" 2 = Reserved for future workflow application
- "; 3" 3 = Modified (the doument has been translated, but the original has now been modified.
- "; 4" 4 = Deleted (the Synchronizer will delete this document when all language
versions have been notified)
- "; 5" 5 = N/A (the document is not a translatable document).
$Lng_LastSynchronised
The last time the document was synchronized. Used for optimization.
$Lng_LastModified
Used for optimization.
$Lng_WorkflowState
Reserved for future workflow use.
$Lng_Switchbar
Doc links to all language versions of this document are stored in this rich text field, which should be included in the definition of all forms that are intended to
display the Language SwitchBar.
$Lng_SwitchbarText
Internal field used for storing which languages to display in the Language
SwitchBar.
$Lng_Switchbar_xxx
Fields used for saving individual, language-dependent Language SwitchBar
elements.
$Lng_SwitchbarUpdate
Set to "1" to force an update of the Language SwitchBar for a document. The subform contains various language-related fields, two of which are critical for synchronization - $Lng_UNID and $Language.
DGW also adds a profile document called $Lang to the synchronized databases. This document contains fields that are used by the synchronization agents. The fields in the profile document are described below
$Language. The language of the database (a list of languages in the case of multilingual databases).
$Lng_Databases
A list of the databases being synchronized.
$Lng_Id
The IDs of the languages being synchronized. For example, en-US, de-DE, fr-FR.
$Lng_Names
The full names of the languages being synchronized. For example, English (United States), German (Germany), French (France).
$Lng_Switchbar
Whether or not the Language SwitchBar is being used:
- "; 0" 0 = No
- "; 1" 1 = Yes
The Synchronizer automatically makes the appropriate entries in the subform and profile document fields during the synchronization process. The addition of the subform and profile document in the localized database does not affect the design of the source database. |
