Globalize your On Demand Business

Globalize your e-business and take charge of your international commerce.
Introduction to globalization

The fact that the Internet is global does not mean that users share the same language or cultural background. Not surprisingly, customers prefer to conduct business in their own language, and with respect to theirlocal standards and practices. And more than two-thirds of today's Internet users live outside the United States, and the IDC forecasts that fewer than 25% of Web users will live in the United States by the year 2005. At that time more than 70% will speak a primary language other than English.

Globalization--the process of making applications work seamlessly utilizing the user's preferred language and culture--is critical to the creation of a successful e-business. But companies can only extend a Web-based business model to a global market if they understand the technologies and products involved and develop an effective globalization strategy.

Although effective globalization more than the creation of a new business case, it is not a luxury your company can afford to miss. On the global e-business frontier, remote and unknnown competitiors can access your customers as easily as you can. To maintain and grow your position in a world wide marketplace, globalization is a necessity.
