This database shows how Notes can display documents in multiple languages. This database is an enhanced version of the Notes 6 discussion database. Here are the modifications we made to display any language using the Notes client. It requires the installation of a Unicode font, available for download on the Notes CD.
Views
All documents, By Author and By Category have been modified using the Default Multilingual Font to be able to display any character set. We also created a view per language to facilitate the navigation across languages
Forms
We updated the Main Topic, Response and Response to Response using the Default Multilingual Font as the default
Preferences / User Preferences / Default Font
You need to select a Unicode font in the Default Multilingual Font combo box. Domino and Notes 5.x and 6.x are shipping with such fonts on the CD in the Apps directory. You can also use your favorite set of Unicode fonts you may already have in your organization
