| Each of the Unicode transformation formats presented here can be used to represent the full scope of assigned Unicode characters, but the choice of which one is most suitable is not always an easy one. When designing an application, one should consider the various alternatives available for representing Unicode data, and how that data may be transmitted and stored to other computer systems.
