The purpose of the Project Definition Workshop (PDW) is to understand your organizations technology skills gaps, your business pain points and define the project goals in order to begin a jStart project. During the workshop you can expect the program manager to help identify the following project aspects:

- Project/Business Goals
The purpose of the Project Readiness Workshop (PRW) is to gather requirements in order to perform a high level project design. The PRW includes:
- Technical Assumptions/Requirements
- Risks and Dependencies
- Solution Description
- Project Plan
- IBM Statement of Work
This one-day workshop is intended to assist business executives in:
- Exploring the suitability of SOA / Web Services solutions for addressing current business issues
- Develop an initial action plan for evaluating and implementing appropriate SOA / Web Services solutions
