U2 Early Programs

Information Management

If you would like to participate in either a current or future U2 Early Program (EP), please send a note to U2AskUs@us.ibm.com indicating your area of interest. Please include the term "U2 EP/Beta" in your subject line along with your area of interest (e.g. UniData, UniVerse, .NET). When an EAP or Beta cycle is being planned we will make sure we contact you with specific details.

The U2 Early programs are run on the IBM Early programs for Information Management website.

To access this website, you must have a universal IBM® user ID; you can register at: https://www.ibm.com/account/profile/us

In addition to your IBM ID, you will need an authorization key to access a specific early program. Once you have been accepted into a U2 early program, you will receive the authorization key which will enable you to enter into a confidential download site where the code and any early documentation can be accessed. You will also be invited to participate in a series of early programs conference calls to talk with developers, product management, support and other EAP participants.

Thank you for your interest in U2 Early Programs.

IBM Data Server Provider for .NET has been released!

The IBM Data Server Provider for .NET and the IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio 2005 have been released. These tools, which support IBM UniData and UniVerse® (U2) as well as DB2® and Informix® Dynamic Server (IDS), can be obtained at no cost from the IBM Web site titled "IBM Data Server Driver for ODBC, CLI and .NET". Please note that the ODBC and CLI drivers do not support U2. Documentation can be found on-line as part of the DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows (LUW) Information Center. Look in "Contents" and select Database application development, Database applications, ADO.NET.

We would like to continue to communicate closely with our early users of this tool and encourage users to participate in the U2 developerWorks® forum to share their experience and ask questions of one another and of IBM U2 developers directly.
