IBM offers PartnerWorld® members a comprehensive sales and pre-sales technical training curriculum for the IBM Information Management portfolio. Available at no charge, the simplified sales curriculum provides Business Partners with training opportunities at three skill levels:

Basic
Intermediate
Advanced

Training resources include online learning modules (available 24x7) and live events held throughout the year in major cities worldwide.

To supplement the core sales curriculum, you can also take advantage of the following training options, benefits and resources:

 

Skill Level 1: Basic

This skill level prepares you to identify opportunities for selling the Information Management portfolio and to perform initial qualification.

To successfully complete this level, you should participate in the Know Your IBM (KYI) program.

Skill Level 2: Intermediate

This skill level qualifies you to compete for and win sales with the Information Management portfolio.

Skill Level 3: Advanced

Upon completion of skill levels 2 and 3, you are recognized as an Information On Demand specialist, enabling your company to qualify for the Information On Demand Specialty program. Upon qualifying for this Specialty, your company becomes part of a select business community and receives quick, easy access to the latest innovative programs and technology for marketing and selling IBM Information On Demand solutions.

Know Your IBM (KYI)

The Know Your IBM (KYI) program rewards IBM Business Partners who improve their knowledge of IBM Information Management software and who make a personal commitment to help their customers understand, purchase and deploy these products.

The KYI program offers several learn-sell-earn training modules to help you discover new sales opportunities for IBM Information Management software.

After completing each module, you'll earn 50 KYI points that can be accumulated and redeemed for great gifts and merchandise. Many KYI participants are able to earn points in other ways too, such as by meeting sales targets.

Think!Thursday Sales Series (recorded sessions)

The Information Management Think!Thursday series, hosted by IBM sales and marketing leaders, provides brand-specific and cross-brand enablement information to help you accelerate your business practices and sales opportunities. A live Think!Thursday session is held on the second Thursday of each month and recorded for your convenience.
