IBM Industry Models Version 8.0 – What’s New

Release 8.0 of the IBM Industry Models features enhanced industry content for both the data and process models for banking, insurance, financial markets, health plans, telecommunications, and retail. The associated service models contain detailed specifications of the services that support the deployment of the process models in Service-Oriented Architectures.

New business content for the Version 8.0 Models includes:

IBM Banking Data Warehouse Release 8.0 provides Basel II updates including support for US NPR (Notice of Proposed Rulemaking) and Payments (and SEPA) enhancements.
IBM Information Framework Process/Service Models Release 8.0 offers Mortgages and Securitization, ongoing payment enhancements (SEPA), and formalization of re-usable activities and data flows.
IBM Insurance Information Warehouse Release 8.0 provides support for Solvency II (both formula and method) and for International Accounting Standards.
IBM IAA Process/Service Models Release 8.0 includes support for Risk Management (Solvency II, SOX, KYC, AML regulations) and line-of-business categorization.
IBM Financial Markets Data Models Release 8.0 provides a Data Model for financial instruments (equities, derivatives, bills and bonds, indexes and spot currency) and Dynamic Warehousing.
IBM Financial Markets Process/Service Models Release 8.0 will offer process definitions for corporate actions, formalization of re-usable activities and data flows, middle-to back-office integration, and order handling and Best Execution to support MiFID
IBM Retail Data Warehouse Release 8.0 includes support for pharmacy, click-stream analysis, mail order, corporate finance, and KPI linkages with industry standards.
IBM Telecommunications Data Warehouse Release 8.0 provides improved finance Business Solution Templates (BSTs), support for mobile virtual network operators, bundling of services (quad, triple, multi play and third party content) and third party content support, and pre-paid analysis.
