IBM announces the end of service for older versions of IBM Information Server’s product modules

IBM WebSphere DataStage versions 3.x, 4.x and 5.x
IBM WebSphere QualityStage versions 3.x and 4.x
IBM WebSphere ProfileStage version 6.x
IBM WebSphere AuditStage version 6.x
IBM WebSphere MetaStage version 2.x
IBM WebSphere MetaStage Explorer version 2.x

IBM continues to strengthen its IBM Information Server software platform offering for Linux, UNIX, Windows, IBM z/OS and Linux for System z as part of the IBM Information Management portfolio. With the introduction of new versions of these products, the previously available versions listed above will end of service in April 2009.

For information about IBM Information Server products, refer to announcement 206-308 or refer to IBM Information Server website for information on how to receive free access to later versions to upgrade.

IBM WebSphere DataStage versions 3.x, 4.x and 5.x are replaced by IBM WebSphere DataStage version 8.0.1 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)
IBM WebSphere QualityStage versions 3.x and 4.x are replaced IBM WebSphere QualityStage version 8.0.1 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)
IBM WebSphere ProfileStage version 6.x is replaced by IBM WebSphere Information Analyzer version 8.0.1 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)
IBM WebSphere AuditStage version 6.x is replaced by IBM WebSphere AuditStage version 7.0 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)
IBM WebSphere MetaStage 2.x is replaced by IBM WebSphere Metadata Server version 8.0.1 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)
IBM WebSphere MetaStage Explorer 2.x is replaced by IBM Metadata Workbench version 8.0.1 (contact your AE to discuss how to proceed)

Note: DataStage and QualityStage Versions 6.x, 7.x and 8.x; ProfileStage and AuditStage Versions 7.x; MetaStage and MetaStage Explorer Versions 6.x and 7.x are still under service and support, and are not impacted by this announcement.
