Informix ESQL/COBOL

Overview


	IBM Informix® ESQL/COBOL is an SQL application programming interface (SQL API) that lets you embed SQL statements directly into COBOL code.

	Consists of a code preprocessor, data type definitions, and COBOL routines that you can call.

	Can use both static and dynamic SQL statements. When static SQL statements are used, the program knows all the components at compile time.

	A perfect solution for migrating existing COBOL applications to Linux, IDS 9.40 or V10.0 and ESQL/COBOL 7.25UD4.

Informix ESQL/COBOL runs on AIX, HP/UX, Linux and Solaris.
