Machine Specific Notes:

1. This release of IBM INFORMIX C-ISAM is built on AIX 4.3.3 using
   IBM C and C++ Compilers Version 3.1


2. This release of IBM INFORMIX C-ISAM supports database files (index files,
   data files, transaction files and audit trail files) of size
   greater than 2GB using operating system's special APIs.


   The prerequisite for this feature on AIX is a large file enabled JFS
   file system.


3. Ensure that "ulimit" value is set appropriately, so that
   files of size greater than 2GB can be created by C-ISAM


4. Refer to the information provided in release notes
   in order to migrate to this version of C-ISAM


5. When building applications using the dynamic C-ISAM libraries provided
   with this release, the C compiler option "-brtl" needs to be used.
