Exel Computes Success with Informix Dynamic Server

Partnering with Bell Micro

Exel Computer Systems has chosen to use IBM’s Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) to provide its EFACS integrated business solution to companies using software platforms that are non-Windows based.

Exel, a company dedicated to the provision of integrated business solutions for manufacturing, accounting, and commercial control, has been working with Bell Micro, an IBM Business Partner, to expand the usability of their EFACS solution to IBM, AIX, UNIX, and Linux-based software. The company’s philosophy is to supply manufacturing companies with state-of-the-art, flexible business solutions, helping them to achieve leading-edge business operability.

"Thanks to IBM Informix Dynamic Server and the strong partnership between Bell Micro and our in-house team, EFACS E/8 provides a comprehensive high-performance integrated business solution that is reliable and scalable, and will run on almost any standard enterprise operating system," said Johnathan Orme, a marketing manager at Exel.

EFACS adoption of IDS technology is offering more choice to customers interested in database performance and stability– making it easier for EFACS to scale to match business growth.

Bell Micro is one of a growing number of companies choosing to partner with IBM to deliver increased business value to customers.
