 | Enhanced Search for WebSphere Portal 6 OmniFind™ Enterprise Edition is designed to integrate with WebSphere® Portal to provide richer, more scalable and secure search directly from within the portal. WebSphere Portal 6 Enable and Extend customers are entitled to a limited use license of OmniFind Enterprise Edition, IBM's flagship enterprise search engine, as part of the WebSphere Portal 6 offering. The download is available via the Passport Advantage website. OmniFind Enterprise Edition enables WebSphere Portal users to go beyond the search capabilities included in the portal. It: - adds rich query processing, semantic search capabilities, and advanced search features to enhance the relevancy of results;
- extends portal reach to a broad array of enterprise repositories, including databases, file shares, collaboration tools, and content management systems;
- provides higher scalability options, i.e., millions of documents.
The following terms apply for limited use OmniFind Enterprise Edition in WebSphere Portal 6. - It is limited to one processor entitlement for nonproduction use (development and testing), and one processor entitlement for production use, per Enterprise;
- Only WebSphere Portal 6 Enable and Extend customers qualify (including the limited use versions of these offerings);
- Use of OmniFind Enterprise Edition is restricted to the WebSphere Portal environment;
- Only the following data sources may be accessed from limited use OmniFind Enterprise Edition:
- WebSphere Portal pages
- WebSphere Portal Document Manager
- Workplace Web Content Management
- Lotus® Notes®/Domino®
- Lotus QuickPlace®
- Lotus Domino Document Manager
- Windows and UNIX file systems
- Web (HTTP/HTTPS/NNTP)
If you wish to access additional sources or make use of more than one processor entitlement for either development or production use, a full use license of OmniFind Enterprise Edition must be acquired, as well as the appropriate connector entitlements. |
