System Requirements

IMS Database Recovery Facility for z/OS, V3.1, is designed to operate with IMS Version 8.1 (5655-C56) with PTF UQ90055 and IMS Version 9.1 (5655-J38).

IMS Database Recovery Facility for z/OS, V3.1, will operate on any S/390 hardware configuration that supports the required versions of IMS.

Installation of IMS Database Recovery Facility requires:

z/OS Version 1.4 or later (contains SMP/E) (5604-A01)
SMP/E for z/OS and IBM OS/390 Version 3.1 (5655-G44) or later

In order for IMS Database Recovery Facility to utilize specific functions, the following products are needed:

IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities for z/OS, V2.1 (5655-K94), with PTF for DEDB Hash Pointer Check
IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS, V4.1 (5655-N45), with PTF for Image copy
IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for z/OS, V2 (5655-K53), with PTF for Hash checking
IMS Index Builder for z/OS, V2.3 (5655-E24), with PTF for Primary and Secondary index build
