• IMS HP Fast Path Utilities is composed of IMS Fast Path Advanced Tool, IMS Fast Path Online Tools, and IMS Fast Path Basic Tools
• IMS Fast Path Advanced Tool improves Job Control Language (JCL) ease-of-use by enabling you to use the same JCL for various functions by merely changing the command name
• By using this tool, you can easily and quickly develop a standard, single driver for unloading, reloading, reorganizing, analyzing, and extracting multiple Data Entry Database (DEDB) areas. It integrates various tool functions and improves processing efficiency and greatly reduces the time and resources required for database administration in parallel in a single job step.
• The IMS Fast Path Advanced Tool contains an Online Expert Reorganization function that enables reorganizing DEDB area data sets or a set of UOWs in DEDB area data sets without showing the data sets in place
• IMS Fast Path Online Tools contains an Online Pointer Checker that enables the integrity verification and provides the statistical information reports in a single step
• Commands and their keywords for these functions are specified in a single input stream and no longer as a combination of SYSIN or another input stream as was required by previous IMS HP FP Utilities versions/releases
