IMS Batch Terminal Simulator for z/OS

Information Management software
Overview

IBM IMS Batch Terminal Simulator checks and debugs IMS application and database activity, and simulates the operation of IMS applications in a TSO or batch environment. IMS BTS interacts with an application during testing and produces information that is not available from an online execution. This new version of BTS has an audit report program, supports the Java language application under JBP region, and provides support for DB2 call trace, WebSphere MQ call trace, LU6.2/APPC, ETO Status code and more.

  Key Features
  • Provides a comprehensive way to check and debug IMS application and database activity.
  • Simulates operation of IMS applications in TSO and batch environments.

  • Accesses DL/1 and DB2 databases from TSO terminals.
  • Provides stable online system in test and production environments to execute applications properly before they are put online.
  • Has a BTS Audit report program which generates the BTSIN control statement with the corresponding MFS associated with the MODNAME from INS transaction log records ('01'X, '03'X).
  • Has a BTS Audit report program which provides prints containing screen images of transactions including data, USER/LTERM identification, and time stamp by extracting from BTSOUT.
